Damflask Reservoir
Another of my favourite spots is Damflask Reservoir at the edge of Sheffield. There is a boat club based here and most weekends during the summer you can walk around the reservoir down to Lower Bradfield and back and watch the sailing club. This provides plenty of opportunities to take photos and one of the aspects I like here is the shape of the sails and the symmetry of the shapes as the boats move together in the wind.
New Years Day
Bitterly cold over Christmas and sub-zero temperatures so this is always great for clear skies and winter sunsets. I went up to the edge of Sheffield to find a vantage place and as usual the best shot I got was one where I just pulled over and took a picture out of the window.
