Wildlife Photographs

I went to two wildlife photography workshops at the weekend. The first was at the Cat Survival Trust in Welwyn and the second was at Hamerton Zoo Park near Huntingdon. The weather was quite gloomy at Welwyn and some of the smaller cats live in pens with a lot of vegetation to simulate their natural jungle environment which meant it was tricky to get any light on to some of the subjects.

Both workshops were organised by John Wright at Photographers On Safari.

The two Cheetahs at Hamerton were the highlight of the weekend for me. The keeper brought them out to the long grass and they were both napping in the sun and purring. We were able to take photos from just a few feet away.
